The Gas engines are divided into two categories they are two cycle and four cycle engines. They are internal combustion engines. The cycle of engine represents one stroke of the piston and one complete revolving represents two cycles. With four cycle engines it occurs at every other revolution.
Both the two cycle and four cycle engines have their advantages and disadvantages. In most automobiles four cycle engine is used, and for motor boats two cycle engine is being used.
The Horse Power is the HP of the engine and the brake test HP. There are different formulas used in which the diameter of the bore, length of the stroke in inches, and number of revolutions per minute is calculated to get the Horse power.
The gasoline engines are more popular due to the high HP and the high RPM. Gas has always been more popular than the Diesel engines. The gasoline engines are more popular for the basic reason that they can pick up speed. If you want speed in your vehicle you will be enough to get the gas engines.
The gas engine even though lack in power they make it up with the speed and tuning options
